The Road From Transylvania Home

I wanted to let you all know I have an exciting project going on and keep you updated on the concerts.

Since my Carnegie Hall debut recital ten years ago, I have been fascinated by the music and artistry of George Enescu.

As I prepared his highly autobiographical work, Impressions d'Enfance op. 28, I met Sherban Lupu, a Romanian violinist and Enescu scholar, who shared with me 3 works for solo violin, recently discovered in the Enescu museum in Bucharest.

Sherban gave me permission to give the New York and Paris premieres and now I have the opportunity to make my first solo CD, featuring these pieces plus an additional solo violin piece never before recorded!

Here are my upcoming dates on the process I'm calling The Road from Transylvania Home, my interpretations of his music and reflections on it through my own music. For some of the concerts I'm joined by an international folk band, with whom I will create a sound canvas to complement Enescu's music through a unique instrumentation of the Bazuk, banjo, the ney and other flutes, dumbek, frame drum, drumset, accordion, cello and viola...

Spread the word! Here are the upcoming dates!

Come out for one of my Transylvania road shows! It would be great to see you !
